Luka Đurić has completed a permanent transfer from TSG Hoffenheim to Bundesliga newcomers SC Paderborn, the clubs confirmed. The 22-year-old forward will join Paderborn ahead of their return to the German top flight after securing promotion through the promotion-relegation play-off.
Đurić represents a product of Hoffenheim’s extensive youth system, having been with the club since the age of four. He progressed through all age groups at the Kraichgauers, ultimately making his Bundesliga debut against Bayern Munich in February 2026. His path mirrors that of his father, Nebojsa Đurić, who played for TSG between 1992 and 2004.
The young forward enjoyed a successful spell with Hoffenheim’s U23s, making 88 appearances and contributing 26 goals and 18 assists. He played a key role in the U23 team’s promotion to the 3. Liga during the 2024/25 season, further solidifying his development within the club. While a transfer fee was not disclosed, the move represents an opportunity for Đurić to gain regular first-team football.
TSG Hoffenheim’s Sporting Director, Frank Kramer, acknowledged the player’s unique journey with the club. “Luka has written a unique story at TSG Hoffenheim – from the youngest age group all the way to the Bundesliga,” Kramer said. He highlighted Đurić’s importance to the U23 side and expressed the club’s support for his desire to prove himself at a higher level. The move allows Đurić to take the next step in his career while Hoffenheim benefit from a potential transfer fee and the continued development of their academy system.
Paderborn, meanwhile, add a promising young talent to their squad as they prepare for the challenges of the Bundesliga. The transfer provides Đurić with a platform to showcase his abilities in the top flight and contribute to Paderborn’s ambition to establish themselves in the league.
