Dusan Vlahovic has returned to Turin after travelling to Turkey to consider an offer from Besiktas, according to reports from Italy. The Serbian forward spent several days in Turkey listening to a proposal from the club managed by Vincenzo Italiano, but has not yet made a decision.
Besiktas reportedly offered Vlahovic a lucrative contract worth €10 million per year, plus a signing bonus exceeding €5 million. The deal was reportedly championed by Italiano, who previously managed Vlahovic during a successful spell at Fiorentina in 2021, where the striker scored 17 goals in 22 appearances. However, Vlahovic is currently holding out for an offer from a top European club.
Several clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich, are all reportedly in the market for a new striker, but have deemed the demands of Vlahovic’s representatives to be excessive. Juventus, though no longer his official club, remain a potential destination. The club’s new CEO and sporting director, Giovanni Carnevali, admitted on Monday that Vlahovic is “an important player” but not currently a priority, while also leaving the door open to a possible return.
Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti is known to be a fan of Vlahovic and considers him a top target to reinforce the team’s attack. Currently, there are significant differences between the club and the player’s camp regarding wages and commission fees, but Juventus believe time may work in their favour. Vlahovic is currently remaining in Turin, evaluating his options and awaiting further developments in his transfer situation. His next move could significantly impact Juventus’s forward line for the upcoming season.
