Brighton & Hove Albion have secured the signing of defender Luka Vuskovic from Tottenham Hotspur for a reported fee of €54 million, marking one of the most significant moves completed across Europe today, July 14th. The transfer window is gaining momentum with numerous deals being finalized as clubs prepare for the upcoming season.
Tottenham have been particularly active this summer, having already invested over €260 million in new players including Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, Andrew Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka. The sale of Vuskovic represents a significant outgoing for the North London club as they look to reshape their squad following consecutive disappointing 17th-placed finishes in the Premier League.
Chelsea have also been busy, bringing in Marco Palestra, Geovany Quenda, Emmanuel Emegha, Dastan Satpaev and Denner. They have offset some of their spending by selling Marc Cucurella to Real Madrid, Andrey Santos to Manchester United and Tyrique George to Everton, with Jesse Derry heading to Sporting CP on loan.
Manchester City have broken their club transfer record to sign Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest, adding to the arrivals of Mathys Detourbet from Troyes and Jeremy Monga from Leicester City. Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Andrey Santos from Chelsea, alongside Youri Tielemans and Karl Darlow. Arsenal have added Piero Hincapie and Illan Meslier to their ranks, while Liverpool have bolstered their attack with Victor Munoz from Osasuna and Jeremy Jacquet from Stade Rennais.
Elsewhere, Barcelona have invested heavily in Newcastle United forward Anthony Gordon for €80 million, and Real Madrid have secured Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries. Bayern Munich have signed Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt, and AC Milan have completed a substantial deal for Paris Saint-Germain striker Goncalo Ramos, costing €74 million. Other moves completed today include Yann Sommer’s free transfer from Inter Milan to Club Brugge, and loan deal for Luca Podlech from Schalke to Aalesunds.
These moves signal a period of significant investment and restructuring across Europe’s top five leagues, as clubs aim to strengthen their squads and compete for domestic and continental honours. The flurry of activity suggests a competitive season ahead.
