Fulham agree €36m deal to sign US striker Ricardo Pepi from PSV
Fulham have reached an agreement with PSV Eindhoven to sign United States international striker Ricardo Pepi for an initial €36m (£30.5m), according to widespread Dutch media reports. The proposed deal includes €4m in potential add-ons, with the 23-year-old expected to undergo a medical in London next week ahead of a summer move to the Premier League club.
Pepi has scored or assisted 31 goals in 59 Eredivisie and Champions League appearances since joining PSV from Augsburg in 2024 for €11m. The Texas-born forward finished as PSV's second-top scorer last season with 18 league goals, helping them secure Champions League qualification. His form earned him 34 international caps, including starts at the 2026 World Cup.
The transfer addresses Fulham's need for attacking reinforcements following Rodrigo Muniz's potential departure, with several Serie A clubs reportedly interested in the Brazilian. For PSV, the deal represents a significant profit on a player who initially joined on loan before making his move permanent last summer.
Pepi's proposed arrival continues Fulham's strategy of recruiting young, physically dynamic forwards suited to Marco Silva's high-pressing system. The striker's aerial ability and hold-up play are seen as complementary to existing options Raúl Jiménez and Carlos Vinícius. PSV will reinvest part of the fee in their search for a replacement striker, with negotiations already underway for multiple targets.
The move marks another step in Pepi's rapid career progression after his 2022 transfer from FC Dallas to Augsburg made him the most expensive homegrown MLS export at the time. His adaptation to European football accelerated at PSV, where he developed under manager Peter Bosz's attacking philosophy. Fulham's recruitment team reportedly tracked his progress throughout last season's Europa Conference League campaign.
