Liverpool’s pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola is gaining momentum, with reports in France suggesting the player is seriously considering a move to Anfield. According to Le10Sport, the transfer is ‘boiling’ along, while L’Equipe have confirmed Liverpool’s strong interest and Barcola’s willingness to join the Reds.
Barcola joined PSG from Lyon in August 2023 for a reported €50 million fee. Since then, the 23-year-old has become a valuable member of the squad, contributing 13 goals and seven assists in 48 appearances this season. He was also a key figure in PSG’s successful campaign, helping them secure a domestic quadruple and reach the Champions League final.
Despite his contributions, Barcola is reportedly not a guaranteed starter under Luis Enrique, finding himself behind Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue in the pecking order. This situation has opened the door for a potential move to the Premier League, with Liverpool emerging as a strong contender. The club first registered firm interest in Barcola earlier this month, following a change in the player’s representation.
Liverpool are currently evaluating their options to strengthen their attacking line, seeking a long-term successor to Mohamed Salah on the right wing and a versatile forward to cover for the injured Hugo Ekitike. While RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande remains their primary target, complications in securing his signature – including a potential contract extension with Leipzig and interest from Bayern Munich – could see Liverpool turn their attention to Barcola. Both players are currently valued around £87 million, but Barcola’s price tag is considered more negotiable. The potential arrival of Barcola could provide Arne Slot, or a future manager, with additional attacking options and tactical flexibility.
