AC Milan have reached an agreement to sign forward Gonçalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to reports from The Athletic. The Portuguese international underwent a medical in Florida while on international duty during the recent World Cup, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.
The transfer is expected to be worth €65 million with a further €5 million in potential bonuses, which would represent a club record fee for the Rossoneri, as reported by Sky Italia. Ramos has struggled for consistent playing time with PSG since joining the club, mirroring his situation with the Portuguese national team during the World Cup.
Ramos came through the youth ranks at Benfica, establishing himself as a promising young forward before his move to Paris. He offers a different profile to Milan’s existing attacking options, providing a dynamic presence in the final third. The fee paid by Milan is comparable to the €70 million Barcelona spent on Anthony Gordon.
The move to AC Milan presents Ramos with the opportunity to become a key player in a competitive Serie A side. Milan will be hoping Ramos can provide a consistent goal threat and contribute to their Champions League ambitions. This significant investment signals Milan’s intent to strengthen their squad and compete at the highest level.
