The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain on a five-year contract, though a club-to-club agreement has yet to be reached. Leipzig are currently resistant to selling Diomande this summer, hoping to retain his services for another season.
Diomande primarily plays on the right wing, which may present a complication for Arsenal, who are seeking options for the left side of their attack. Despite this, the Gunners have expressed interest, but the player himself is believed to favour a move to PSG.
Meanwhile, Manchester City are nearing the signing of Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, as reported by TEAMtalk. The Etihad club are confident of securing the Morocco international, having accelerated talks with both the player’s representatives and Lille. The potential fee for the 18-year-old is a staggering €100 million, which would make Bouaddi the most expensive teenager in football history. Bouaddi is said to be attracted by City’s long-term development plans for him.
Further transfer activity sees Liverpool stepping up their interest in AS Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche, according to Sky Sports. PSG have previously made three bids for the 24-year-old France international, but Monaco are holding firm, demanding a fee of €50 million. Liverpool’s enquiry comes as negotiations between Monaco and PSG have stalled, with PSG’s highest offer currently at €40 million.
Elsewhere, Manchester United have emerged as competition for Juventus in the pursuit of Bologna defender Jhon Lucumi, as per Corriere dello Sport.
