Arsenal are considering a summer move for Club Brugge forward Christos Tzolis, with the Belgian club reportedly open to offers around €40 million, according to The Athletic. The 24-year-old has impressed since joining Brugge from Fortuna Dusseldorf in 2024, registering a combined total of 43 goals and 45 assists across two seasons.
This potential interest comes despite Arsenal also pursuing Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, with reporter David Ornstein clarifying that a move for Tzolis would not impact their pursuit of Rogers. The Gunners do not view Tzolis as a marquee signing despite the potential €40 million fee.
Tzolis previously had a stint in the Premier League with Norwich City, but struggled to make a significant impact. While he excelled as a winger in the Jupiler Pro League during the 2025/26 season, data analytics firm SciSports suggests a move to Arsenal could be a misstep. SciSports calculates a ‘SciSkill’ rating, and believe Tzolis’ current level is more suited to a mid-table Premier League club, such as Fulham.
Further analysis by SciSports indicates a potential stylistic mismatch between Tzolis and Mikel Arteta’s system at Arsenal, assigning a ‘Club Fit’ rating of 72 out of 100. The firm suggests Manchester United would be a more suitable destination for the Greek international, with a Club Fit rating of 85, aligning better with Michael Carrick’s tactical approach. SciSports data suggests that, while Tzolis is keen on joining a top Premier League side, Manchester United would offer a better environment for his development and playing style than Arsenal.
