Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain have all expressed interest in Arsenal defender William Saliba, but the Gunners are reportedly demanding a fee of at least €150 million for the France international. This stance, reported by CaughtOffside, reflects Saliba’s importance to Mikel Arteta’s squad and his current contract which doesn’t expire until 2030, placing Arsenal in a strong negotiating position. An exit this summer is considered unlikely.
Arsenal are also heavily linked with a move for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. The club has already had a €64 million bid rejected for the Brazilian international, and Newcastle are expected to demand a fee in the region of €140 million, potentially exceeding the £100 million paid for Sandro Tonali. Former Newcastle midfielder Jermaine Jenas believes Guimaraes would “walk” into Arsenal’s starting XI, citing him as an upgrade on current targets like Zubimendi. Jenas suggested Arsenal should prioritize the signing, with Manchester United also potentially entering the race.
Further bolstering their attacking options is also a priority for Arsenal, with Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers identified as a primary target. However, securing Rogers will require a British record fee of €152 million (£130m), according to the Daily Mail. Villa may be compelled to sell a key player to comply with UEFA’s financial regulations, but will be reluctant to part with Rogers.
Arsenal’s interest extends to Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa, with the club potentially initiating contract talks to secure the centre-back’s future amid interest from the Gunners. Konsa’s current contract runs until 2028, and Villa are keen to extend his stay. Additionally, Arsenal have joined the competition to sign West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville, following the sale of Leandro Trossard to Besiktas, and will compete with Manchester United for his signature. Finally, goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga could be allowed to leave after one season, with a €5.9 million release clause in his contract attracting interest from clubs in Serie A and La Liga.
