Monga’s potential arrival adds to Arsenal’s activity in the transfer market as they also join the competition for Porto winger William Gomes. Globo Esporte reports that Arsenal have made contact with the Portuguese club regarding the 20-year-old Brazilian, though Porto are reluctant to sell and value him at around €60 million, with a release clause set at €80 million. Gomes enjoyed an impressive season but did not feature in Brazil’s World Cup squad.
Further forward, Rafael Leao has publicly expressed his desire to leave AC Milan in search of a “new challenge” outside of Serie A. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich continue to monitor Gabriel Martinelli, as reported by Christian Falk. The Bundesliga champions previously expressed interest in the Brazilian during Thomas Tuchel’s tenure, and he remains on their shortlist. In other news, Bournemouth are adamant that Eli Kroupi will not be leaving the club this summer, according to TEAMtalk.
