Bayern Munich have offered goalkeeper Alexander Nubel to Newcastle United as part of a potential deal for winger Anthony Gordon, according to a report from BILD. The German club are hesitant to meet Newcastle’s asking price for Gordon and believe Nubel could be a valuable addition, especially given Newcastle’s uncertainty surrounding a permanent move for loanee Aaron Ramsdale from Southampton.
Arsenal remain interested in acquiring Gordon, with Fabrizio Romano confirming the player is “appreciated” by those at the club and anticipating further movement surrounding his future, potentially with other clubs entering the race. Gordon has been a key player for Newcastle, though his consistency has been questioned at times.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are engaged in formal talks with Hamburger SV regarding a permanent transfer for midfielder Fabio Vieira, as reported by Sky Germany. Vieira spent last season on loan with the Bundesliga side and has expressed a desire to stay, with the club indicating they want to build their team around him. However, HSV are unable to meet the existing €20 million purchase option and are attempting to negotiate a lower fee with Arsenal, despite interest from other clubs.
Fabrizio Romano also provided an update on Arsenal’s pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, stating the Gunners “appreciate the player” and expect movement in the transfer market. Barcola’s future at PSG is dependent on the club’s incoming transfers, particularly if they sign another forward such as Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. Liverpool are also reportedly interested in Barcola, complicating Arsenal’s potential move.
Finally, Arsenal have initiated discussions with Newcastle United concerning a potential deal for midfielder Sandro Tonali, as claimed by Tuttomercatoweb. The report suggests Arsenal are seeking to bolster their midfield options and have begun preliminary talks to assess the feasibility of signing the Italy international, though Manchester United are also reportedly close to a deal for Tonali. The club are looking for additional midfield depth to support Declan Rice.
