Arsenal linked with Guler as Newcastle set Tonali price
Arsenal are among a host of top clubs linked with a move for Real Madrid's Arda Guler, as uncertainty grows over the midfielder's future at the Bernabeu. According to TEAMtalk, the 21-year-old’s future is in doubt following the departure of manager Xabi Alonso, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all reportedly alerted to his potential availability this summer.
Guler, a Turkey international, had been a key figure under Alonso, but the managerial change has cast doubt on his role in Madrid's long-term plans. The club is also expected to finalise new deals for attacking midfielders Nico Paz and Victor Munoz, which could further limit Guler's prospects, potentially opening the door for a transfer.
In a separate but significant development, Newcastle United have issued a firm stance on any potential departure for their midfielder Sandro Tonali. The Italian, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal, will only be sold on the club's terms, according to CEO David Hopkinson. Newcastle are prepared to demand a fee in excess of €100 million for the Italian international, indicating they are under no pressure to sell.
Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Barcelona's Ferran Torres. According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Gunners are monitoring the situation of the Spain international, who could be available as Barcelona seek to raise funds. The forward is seen as a potential alternative to more expensive targets, with Arsenal also maintaining an interest in a high-profile winger and a central midfielder.
In other transfer news, Arsenal's academy product Myles Lewis-Skelly has been offered to Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail. The young left-back is reportedly frustrated by a lack of first-team opportunities at the Emirates and could seek a move to secure regular football, with England's World Cup squad selection a key motivation. Manchester United are known to be in the market for a left-sided defender.
