Arsenal open to summer exits for Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli
Arsenal are prepared to consider offers for forwards Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli this summer, with Atletico Madrid showing interest in both Brazilian players. According to a report from TEAMtalk, sources close to the club indicate the duo are now viewed as squad players, and the Gunners would not block a departure if either sought a move.
Both players are under contract until 2027, with Arsenal holding an additional one-year option on Martinelli's deal. However, their roles have diminished this season, particularly for the 28-year-old Jesus, who has made only two Premier League starts in the current campaign. During the international break, he was granted permission to train with his former club Palmeiras, fueling speculation a return to Brazil is a genuine possibility.
Atletico Madrid have made initial contact regarding a potential move for Jesus, while also expressing firm interest in Martinelli. The 24-year-old winger is not expected to sign a new contract at Arsenal at this stage, which has alerted several European clubs. RB Leipzig and Marseille are also understood to be monitoring Martinelli's situation closely.
The report states that while Arsenal have shown interest in Atletico's Julian Alvarez, the Spanish club's pursuit of the two Brazilians is a separate matter. Any potential deals involving Jesus and Martinelli could, however, facilitate smoother relations between the clubs for future negotiations. For Arsenal, the possible departures would represent a significant shift in their attacking options ahead of next season.
