Arsenal have entered the race to sign RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, joining Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain as potential destinations for the Ivory Coast international, according to Sky Sports. The 19-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2025-26, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists in the Bundesliga, earning the league’s Rookie of the Season award.
Diomande further showcased his talent with a standout performance for Ivory Coast in their 1-0 World Cup victory over Ecuador on Sunday, creating more chances (5) and having more touches in the opposition box (12) than any other player on the pitch. Leipzig are reportedly seeking a fee of at least €130 million (£112m) for the two-footed winger, who has also expressed admiration for Champions League winners PSG.
Liverpool had previously identified Diomande as their primary summer target, but Arsenal’s interest adds another significant contender. Ivory Coast manager Emerse Fae acknowledged the swirling transfer speculation, stating in quotes carried by ESPN that he had heard reports linking Diomande with both PSG and Liverpool during the World Cup preparation, but emphasized the player’s current focus remains on the tournament.
Alongside Diomande, Arsenal are also monitoring other left-wing options. BBC Sport reports the Gunners are also tracking Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, valued at approximately €92 million (£80m) after a season where he scored 14 goals and registered 11 assists. Club Brugge’s Christos Tzolis, who recorded 17 goals and 23 assists in the Belgian Pro League last season, is also under consideration, with the club having been offered the 24-year-old. Manager Mikel Arteta has publicly called for significant investment following Arsenal’s Champions League final defeat to PSG, stating the club needs to be “ambitious, very fast and very smart” to reach the next level.
