Aston Villa are monitoring the situation of Borussia Dortmund forward Serhou Guirassy, with a potential summer move under consideration, according to Sport BILD. The 30-year-old is widely expected to depart Dortmund at the end of the season, and Villa have emerged as potential suitors alongside Fenerbahçe.
Guirassy joined Dortmund in January 2023, having previously impressed at Rennes. While he has experienced quieter spells with the Bundesliga side, the Guinean international still managed to score 17 goals in 33 league appearances this past season. He has become a proven goalscorer in European football, and his potential availability has attracted attention from multiple clubs.
Aston Villa, who finished fourth in the Premier League last season and secured Champions League football for the 2026-27 season, are reportedly keen to bolster their attacking options. The club is looking to build on their recent success and compete at the highest level, and Guirassy’s goalscoring record could be seen as a valuable asset. However, it remains unclear whether the player would be receptive to a move to the Premier League.
Fenerbahçe have also been heavily linked with Guirassy, and a move to Turkey remains a distinct possibility. A transfer to Saudi Arabia, however, is currently considered unlikely by Sport BILD. The financial terms of any potential deal, and Villa’s willingness to meet Dortmund’s asking price, are yet to be determined. The report does not specify a potential transfer fee.
Should Guirassy join Aston Villa, he would likely compete with Ollie Watkins for a starting position, adding depth and competition to the Villa attack. His arrival could provide a different attacking dimension for manager Unai Emery as the club prepares for the demands of Champions League football.
