Arsenal are nearing an agreement to sign Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain, according to L'Equipe. The potential transfer is reportedly contingent on PSG successfully completing the acquisition of Ferran Torres from Barcelona.
PSG have reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with Torres, but will only finalize the deal once they have secured outgoings from their attacking options. This situation has created an opportunity for Barcola to potentially leave the French capital, as he is currently hesitant to sign a contract extension with PSG.
Arsenal and Liverpool have both expressed interest in Barcola this summer. The 21-year-old forward has established himself as a promising talent in Ligue 1, though his role at PSG has been somewhat limited. He made 30 appearances across all competitions for the club last season, scoring 5 goals.
In separate news, Real Madrid are progressing towards a contract extension with Vinicius Jr, AS reports. Following discussions after Brazil’s World Cup exit, both parties are keen to continue their relationship beyond 2027, and a breakthrough is expected soon. The club has requested a final decision from the player before the end of the summer.
Roma are also engaged in transfer talks, with potential deals for Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho and Strasbourg’s Diego Moreira being discussed, as reported by Di Marzio. While a move for Garnacho is considered unlikely due to Chelsea’s €50 million valuation and Roma’s preference for a loan, a €30 million bid is being prepared for Moreira. Newcastle United are reportedly surprised by the speculation linking Bruno Guimaraes with a move to Arsenal, with no direct club-to-club contact yet made, according to Sky Sports. Guimaraes has informed Newcastle of his desire to join Arsenal, but understands the club will only sell at the right price, potentially up to €100 million.
Manchester United are also exploring alternative midfield targets after their pursuit of Atalanta’s Ederson fell through, with Roma’s Manu Kone and Wolves’ Joao Gomes both being considered.
