Bayern Munich are intensifying their pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown, according to TEAMtalk, with the German champions aiming to beat competition from Chelsea and other Premier League clubs. Fresh contact with Brown’s representatives was made last week as Bayern seek to finalise a deal for the 22-year-old.
Brown has steadily risen to prominence with Frankfurt after developing through the academy at FC Nurnberg, showcasing both defensive solidity and attacking impetus from the left flank. His recent performances for the German national team have further enhanced his reputation, notably scoring and providing an assist in a 7-1 World Cup victory over Curaçao.
Bayern Munich view Brown as a long-term solution at left-back and are prepared to offer a fee in the region of €55million, including add-ons, to secure his services. The player himself is reportedly keen on a move to the Allianz Arena despite interest from England.
Chelsea had previously identified Brown as a potential replacement for Marc Cucurella, who is now set to join Real Madrid. However, with Bayern now leading the race, the Blues are reportedly exploring alternative options, with former Chelsea player Lewis Hall being considered. Manchester United and Arsenal have also been linked with an interest in the German international.
Sources indicate that Brown’s immediate focus remains on the World Cup, where Germany are exceeding expectations. A deal could be completed in the coming days or weeks, representing a significant addition to Bayern’s squad as they look to build on their recent successes. TEAMtalk have been reporting on the interest in Brown for several months, with numerous Premier League clubs having previously expressed their interest.
