Bayern Munich have initiated contact with Juventus regarding a potential transfer for Brazilian centre-back Bremer, according to a report from Gianluca Di Marzio. The Bundesliga champions are exploring the conditions of a deal for the 27-year-old, though discussions are currently in the preliminary stages.
This move comes as Bayern Munich anticipate potential departures in their own defensive ranks. Both Min-jae Kim and Hiroki Ito have been linked with moves away from the Allianz Arena this summer, creating a need for reinforcement in central defence. Bremer has emerged as a key target to fill that void.
Bremer joined Juventus from Torino in July 2022 for a reported fee of €47 million, quickly establishing himself as a key figure in the Bianconeri’s backline. He has made 64 appearances across all competitions for the Turin club, showcasing his aerial ability and strong tackling. Prior to his move to Juventus, Bremer spent three seasons with Torino, earning recognition as one of Serie A’s most consistent defenders.
Interestingly, Juventus are reportedly interested in acquiring Kim from Bayern Munich, potentially opening the door for a swap deal involving Bremer. While no formal offer has been made, this possibility adds another layer to the negotiations. Bremer is currently part of the Brazil national team, having been included in their squad for the upcoming international fixtures.
Bremer’s current contract with Juventus runs until 2029, providing the Italian club with a strong negotiating position. Any deal to bring him to Bayern Munich would likely command a significant transfer fee, reflecting his importance to Juventus and his proven quality in Serie A. The potential arrival of Bremer would bolster Bayern’s defensive options ahead of the new season and provide competition for places in Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
