Bayern Munich are in advanced negotiations with PSV Eindhoven for the permanent transfer of midfielder Ismael Saibari, according to Foot Mercato. The German champions have reportedly agreed personal terms with the 21-year-old Moroccan international, and a deal is nearing completion despite a slight gap in valuation.
Bayern’s initial offer is understood to be a €45 million base fee with a further €5 million in potential add-ons, while PSV are holding out for a minimum of €50 million as a fixed transfer fee. Sources suggest the difference is not substantial, and optimism remains that an agreement can be reached between the two clubs in the coming days.
Saibari enjoyed a breakthrough season with PSV in the 2023-24 Eredivisie campaign, contributing significantly to their title-winning side. He scored eight goals and provided three assists in 31 league appearances, showcasing his versatility as an attacking midfielder capable of playing in multiple positions. His performances have also earned him a place in the Morocco national team, and he is expected to feature in the upcoming World Cup.
The potential arrival of Saibari would add further depth and creativity to Bayern’s midfield options. The Bundesliga champions recently secured a deal for Eintracht Frankfurt defender Nathaniel Brown, signaling an active summer transfer window as they look to rebuild under a new manager. Saibari’s dynamic style of play and goal-scoring ability could prove to be a valuable asset for Bayern as they aim to regain their dominance in both domestic and European competitions.
Should a deal be finalized, Saibari is anticipated to undergo a medical examination in the United States, coinciding with Morocco’s preparations for the World Cup. The timing would allow Bayern to integrate the player into the squad quickly upon his return from international duty, preparing him for the start of the new Bundesliga season.
