Bayern Munich have reiterated their commitment to retaining Michael Olise, dismissing any potential bids from Real Madrid, according to reports in Marca. The statement came from Bayern honorary president Uli Hoeness following the club’s DFB Pokal victory on Saturday.
Olise enjoyed a prolific 2025-26 season, registering 22 goals and 26 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions, attracting attention from several top European clubs, including Real Madrid. President Florentino Perez is reportedly a keen admirer of the France international winger.
Hoeness was direct in his assessment of the situation, stating that Real Madrid’s pursuit of Olise would be futile. “He can look at Olise with five eyes if he wants, but it will be of no use. He’s going to stay, he’s not for sale and Mourinho could have saved the trip from Madrid,” Hoeness said. This strong stance indicates Bayern have no intention of negotiating a transfer for the player.
Interestingly, Jose Mourinho, who is set to become the new manager of Real Madrid this summer, was present at the DFB Pokal final in Berlin. However, Marca report that Mourinho’s attendance was related to commercial commitments with Adidas, a sponsor of the DFB Pokal, and not connected to scouting Olise or future transfer targets.
Despite Olise’s quality and potential fit within the Real Madrid squad, a move this summer appears improbable given Bayern’s resolute position and the likely significant fee required to initiate negotiations. The club are seeking to rebuild after a disappointing couple of seasons and Olise was identified as a potential key component of that rebuild. His continued presence at Bayern will likely strengthen their position as a dominant force in the Bundesliga and Champions League.
