Bayern Munich have submitted a bid of approximately €30 million for Juventus centre-back Bremer, according to reports in Italy. The offer falls short of Juventus’s valuation, which is believed to be around €40 million for the Brazilian defender.
Bayern have already invested significantly in new players this transfer window, bringing in Ismael Saibari and Nathaniel Brown for a combined fee of around €100 million. This pursuit of Bremer suggests the Bundesliga champions are not finished strengthening their squad, particularly in central defence. La Gazzetta dello Sport first reported the bid on Tuesday.
Bremer joined Juventus from Torino in July 2022 for a fee of €41 million, quickly establishing himself as a key figure in the Bianconeri’s backline. The 27-year-old made 31 appearances in Serie A last season, playing a crucial role in Juventus’s third-place finish. He has earned praise for his physicality, aerial ability, and tackling prowess.
The potential arrival of Bremer at the Allianz Arena could cast doubt on the future of current Bayern defender Minjae Kim. Kim arrived in Munich last summer from Napoli with high expectations, but has reportedly been subject to interest from other clubs. Should Bayern’s interest in Bremer become more concrete, Kim could be allowed to depart.
Bremer’s name is a tribute to German football legend Andreas Brehme, a detail that might appeal to the Bayern hierarchy. While it remains unclear whether Bayern will meet Juventus’s asking price, the initial bid signals a serious interest in acquiring the Brazilian international. The transfer could provide Bayern with a long-term solution in central defence and further solidify their position as a European powerhouse.
