Bilal Nadir has signed a long-term contract with Hamburg SV after his deal with Olympique de Marseille expired, the Bundesliga club confirmed on Friday morning. The 22-year-old midfielder joins the German side as a free agent, seeking to reignite his career after a period with his formative club.
Nadir progressed through the youth ranks at Marseille, making 53 appearances for the first team since his debut in 2023. While he became a regular squad member, opportunities to consistently feature in the starting eleven proved limited, particularly following changes in managerial staff. His departure represents a chance for increased playing time and a fresh start in a new league.
Hamburg, who secured their Bundesliga status with a 13th-place finish after promotion, have been active in bolstering their squad this summer.
