Bournemouth are preparing to resist offers for forward Eli Kroupi this summer, according to reports from the BBC. The club, buoyed by a sixth-place finish and qualification for the Europa League, intends to keep Kroupi alongside Rayan and Alex Scott. This stance comes despite reported interest from top clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester United, in the 19-year-old.
Bournemouth enjoyed a breakthrough season under Andoni Iraola, securing a Europa League spot and attracting attention for their developing talent. Iraola is set to depart for Bayer Leverkusen, with Marco Rose heavily linked as his replacement. The club hierarchy believes retaining key players will provide Rose with the best possible foundation for continued success.
Kroupi enjoyed a prolific first season in the Premier League, scoring 13 goals in under 1,700 minutes of play. His clinical finishing, highlighted by WhoScored, has made him one of the league’s most sought-after young talents. While Kroupi is reportedly keen on playing Champions League football, Bournemouth are hoping the lure of European competition will convince him to stay.
The Cherries acknowledge they may be forced to sell Kroupi for a significant fee – potentially exceeding €90 million – if a suitable offer arrives. However, the club’s preference is to retain the player until at least 2027, believing another season of development and European football will further increase his value. Contract talks are also underway with midfielder Alex Scott, as Bournemouth aim to reward his performances with a new deal. Rayan, who joined in January, is not expected to leave, with his release clause not activating until next year.
