Brentford FC have submitted a formal offer of €40 million for 1. FC Köln forward Said El Mala, according to reports in Germany. The Premier League club’s bid includes an additional €5 million in achievable bonuses and a 15% sell-on clause, as reported by Bild.

El Mala joined Köln from FC Viktoria Köln in January 2023 for a reported fee of €350,000. He has quickly established himself as a promising talent in the Bundesliga, making 25 appearances across all competitions last season and scoring three goals. While not a consistent starter, his pace and dribbling ability have drawn attention from clubs in England and elsewhere.
Brentford have been actively seeking attacking reinforcements during the transfer window, following a season where they relied heavily on Ivan Toney, who has since departed for Nottingham Forest.
