Bournemouth have set a price “well in excess” of £100 million for forward Eli Junior Kroupi, effectively warning off potential suitors this summer, according to a report in the i Paper. The valuation comes after a superb debut season in the Premier League for the France Under-21 international, where he scored 13 goals in 35 games across all competitions.
Interest in Kroupi has been significant, with Arsenal and Liverpool previously linked with a move for the 19-year-old. More recently, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have also reportedly made firm approaches. Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, before his departure to Liverpool, had urged Kroupi to remain with the club, believing it the best place for his continued development.
Kroupi joined Bournemouth from Lorient for a bargain £10 million last year and quickly established himself as a key player. His performances have drawn comparisons to other young, explosive forwards in the Premier League, and his potential is highly regarded. The club’s firm stance on his valuation reflects their belief in his ability and importance to the team.
Despite Iraola’s departure to Liverpool and the exit of Marcos Senesi, Bournemouth are determined to strengthen their squad under new manager Marco Rose, rather than dismantle it. They view Kroupi as a central figure in their plans and are prepared to resist offers, unless the player himself indicates a desire to leave. Arsenal, who were previously considered frontrunners, may now be forced to explore alternative attacking options, such as Julian Alvarez and Rafael Leao. Liverpool, too, will likely need to adjust their transfer strategy. Bournemouth have also been linked with a move for RB Leipzig attacker Yan Diomande and have reportedly received an offer to re-sign Darwin Nunez.
