Bournemouth are preparing to resist interest from several top Premier League clubs in key players Alex Scott, Rayan, and Eli Junior Kroupi this summer, according to TEAMtalk. The club, buoyed by a historic sixth-place finish and Europa League qualification, are determined to retain their core group of players.
Midfielder Alex Scott, 22, has attracted significant attention following an impressive season that earned him England recognition and a key role in Bournemouth’s European push. Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly leading the chase, with United considering a formal bid and Chelsea accelerating their background checks on the player. Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur – the club Scott supports – Newcastle United, and others have also been monitoring his progress.
Alongside Scott, forwards Rayan and Kroupi are also highly sought after. However, Bournemouth are prioritizing continuity and aiming to build around their existing squad, particularly with new manager Marco Rose eager to avoid a repeat of last season’s significant player turnover which saw Dan Huijsen, Antoine Semenyo, and Illya Zabarnyi depart.
Bournemouth are planning to strengthen their squad around their current core, with ambitions of competing for a European trophy next season. Scott is currently under contract until 2028, and the club have placed a valuation of £60 million plus on the midfielder, while Rayan and Kroupi are valued even higher. Kroupi has enjoyed a record-breaking debut Premier League season, attracting interest from Arsenal, while Rayan has been considered by Liverpool and other leading clubs.
The club’s financial stability, stemming from previous player sales, further strengthens their position in negotiations. While Scott, Rayan, and Kroupi have previously expressed aspirations to play Champions League football, the opportunity to compete in Europe with Bournemouth under Rose could prove a persuasive factor. Bournemouth’s firm stance underscores their growing ambition and standing within the Premier League.
