Bournemouth's Kroupi at centre of €65m summer transfer race
AFC Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi is the subject of a major transfer battle, with Chelsea, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain all targeting a summer move for the 19-year-old. According to reports, the Cherries are prepared to sell the forward for a fee in the region of €65 million, with PSG currently considered the frontrunner for his signature.
Kroupi's stock has risen dramatically following a breakout debut season in the Premier League. His goal in a 2-1 win over Arsenal last weekend made him the first teenager this century to reach double figures in his maiden top-flight campaign, averaging a goal every 124 minutes. This form has solidified his status as one of Europe's most coveted young attackers and prompted serious interest from elite clubs.
The interest is not new, however. According to sources, Arsenal held talks with Kroupi's camp in the autumn of 2025, while Chelsea were also linked at that time. A significant shift occurred when the player changed his representation, now being handled by agent Moussa Sissoko. French media have reported this move as "significant" for his future, given Sissoko's strong ties to PSG and his clientele, which includes Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue.
This connection places the French champions in a strong position. PSG's project is increasingly built around young French talent, and the potential summer departure of striker Goncalo Ramos could open a slot for a new attacking addition. Kroupi, a France youth international, fits that profile perfectly, making a return to his homeland a logical next step.
For the English suitors, the pathway to regular minutes appears more complex. Chelsea, while potentially needing forward reinforcements with doubts over Liam Delap, are also close to signing Emmanuel Emegha from Strasbourg. At Liverpool, the central striking roles are occupied by Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike, limiting immediate opportunities for Kroupi in his preferred position.
The prospective €65 million fee represents a substantial profit for Bournemouth, who would be capitalising on a single stellar season. For the buying club, it is a significant investment in a player with high potential but still unproven at the very highest level. His next move will be crucial for his development, with the choice between competing for minutes in a stacked Premier League squad or joining a tailored project at PSG.
The coming months will determine if PSG can leverage their agent relationship and sporting project to finalise a deal, or if Chelsea or Liverpool can present a more compelling pitch to divert the teenager's path.
