Chelsea are monitoring several potential signings as the summer transfer window approaches, with West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen, Bologna’s Jonathan Rowe, and Atletico Madrid target Marc Cucurella all featuring in recent reports.
According to The Guardian, Chelsea are among the clubs interested in Bowen should West Ham United be relegated from the Premier League. The Hammers face a crucial final day of the season and a potential revenue shortfall if they drop to the Championship, potentially forcing the sale of key assets like Bowen, who is valued as a marketable player.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Rowe has publicly stated his desire to return to the Premier League, having previously played for Norwich City. The Athletic reports that the 22-year-old winger, currently with Bologna, has attracted interest from both Aston Villa and Chelsea, with the latter reportedly preparing a €40 million bid. Rowe explained that an injury hampered his previous opportunity in England, leading him to seek development in Italy as a stepping stone to a top Premier League club.
Chelsea full-back Marc Cucurella is also a target for Atletico Madrid, as reported by Sky Sports, confirming information from Spanish sources. Atletico’s director, Mathieu Alemany, previously attempted to bring Cucurella to Barcelona, and retains strong interest. While Barcelona are also considering a move, their priority remains securing Joao Cancelo’s loan deal. Cucurella has indicated a willingness to return to Barcelona, but a move to Madrid currently appears more likely. It remains unclear whether Chelsea are open to selling the Spain international.
Further reports suggest former Chelsea full-back Filipe Luis is once again being considered for a coaching role at Strasbourg, according to Mohamed Toubache-Ter. Luis was previously approached by BlueCo, the ownership group of both Chelsea and Strasbourg, but declined a role with the French club after expecting a position with Chelsea itself. After a disappointing start to the season with Flamengo, Luis was sacked, and is now again in contention for the Strasbourg position following a difficult end to the season for current manager Gary O'Neil.
These potential moves signal an active summer for Chelsea as they look to reshape their squad under their new ownership.
