Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as the most active club in the summer transfer window thus far, completing deals for Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, Andrew Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka as they aim to improve upon a disappointing 2025-26 season under manager Roberto De Zerbi.
Chelsea have also been busy, securing the signings of Marco Palestra, Geovany Quenda, Emmanuel Emegha, Dastan Satpaev and Denner, with Maxence Lacroix and Pep Chavarria also strongly linked with moves to Stamford Bridge. Manchester City have broken their club transfer record to bring in Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest, alongside winger Mathys Detourbet from Troyes.
Manchester United are poised to add Brazilian midfielders Ederson and Andrey Santos to their squad, having reached full agreements for both players. Arsenal are in advanced negotiations for Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes and Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, while Leeds United have secured the signature of Harry Wilson on a free transfer from Fulham.
Liverpool have seen a move for Yan Diomande fall through, with the player favouring a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, but have added Osasuna winger Victor Munoz and Stade Rennais defender Jeremy Jacquet to their ranks. Barcelona have made a significant investment in attack, acquiring Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United for a fee of €80 million. Real Madrid have also been active, bringing in Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries.
Elsewhere in Europe, Bayern Munich have completed a deal for Eintracht Frankfurt full-back Nathaniel Brown, and AC Milan have signed Paris Saint-Germain striker Goncalo Ramos. Several other moves were completed today, including Jota Silva’s loan move from Nottingham Forest to Olympiacos, Sean Steur’s €27 million transfer from Ajax to Newcastle, and Illan Meslier’s free transfer from Leeds to Arsenal. Lorenzo Amatucci has moved from Fiorentina to Deportivo La Coruna for €2.5m, while Albion Rrahmani has joined Venezia from Sparta Prague for €7.5m. Cole Campbell has moved from Borussia Dortmund to Elversberg for €6m. Ligue 1 has also seen movement with Loic Nego joining Omonia Nicosia on a free, Christ Tape moving to Toulouse for €2.5m, and Gabin Bernardeau transferring to Lorient for €1m.
The flurry of activity suggests clubs are eager to strengthen their squads ahead of the upcoming season, with significant investment being made across all of Europe’s top five leagues. These moves will undoubtedly reshape the competitive landscape and set the stage for an exciting campaign.
