Chelsea are preparing to make a significant offer for Brentford striker Igor Thiago this summer, according to Fichajes. The Brazilian forward has impressed this season with 22 Premier League goals, becoming a key target for the Blues as they seek to address issues with recent signing Liam Delap. Brentford are reportedly demanding a fee of €90 million to ward off interest not only from Chelsea, but also from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Meanwhile, Barcelona have identified Chelsea’s Joao Pedro as a potential alternative to Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez, with Spanish outlet Fichajes reporting that manager Hansi Flick has approved a move for the player. Despite this interest, Chelsea currently have no desire to let Pedro leave, and initial reports suggest the player himself is not actively seeking an exit after joining the club last summer.
Arsenal have also entered the fray for another Chelsea player, Enzo Fernandez, with reports from TEAMtalk indicating the Gunners are monitoring his situation. They join Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid in expressing interest in the Argentinian midfielder, who hinted at a potential move to Madrid during the recent international break. However, CaughtOffside claim Chelsea have accepted they may need to sell Fernandez to raise funds for further transfer activity, with a price tag of €115 million being suggested.
Further bolstering their potential recruitment, Chelsea have been advised to consider a move for Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson, who will be a free agent this summer. Former Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann believes Robertson would be an ideal signing for the Blues, citing a need for more experience within the squad. Despite speculation linking Wesley Fofana with a move away, The Daily Mail report the defender has no intention of leaving Stamford Bridge, despite falling down the pecking order under recent managerial changes.
