Chelsea are continuing to monitor Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, with representatives actively exploring potential moves across Europe, according to TEAMtalk. The 27-year-old Nigerian international has enjoyed a productive season with Galatasaray, scoring 22 goals in 29 starts, further solidifying his reputation as a highly sought-after forward.
Galatasaray are reportedly reluctant to sell Osimhen and would demand a fee of €100million (£87.1m / $116.3m) for his transfer. However, intermediaries are already initiating discussions with several European clubs regarding the striker’s potential next steps. Barcelona and Real Madrid are also showing significant interest in Osimhen, with Barcelona considering him as a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
Osimhen previously played for Napoli, where he established himself as a Serie A star before moving to Turkey. His physical presence and goal-scoring ability have attracted attention from top clubs across the continent. Real Madrid’s interest is particularly linked to the expected arrival of Jose Mourinho as head coach, with Mourinho known to favour physically imposing centre-forwards.
Chelsea’s pursuit of Osimhen is gaining momentum with the impending appointment of Xabi Alonso as their new head coach. Despite not qualifying for the Champions League, Chelsea believe Alonso’s reputation and long-term vision could prove attractive to elite players. The Blues have long admired Osimhen and Stamford Bridge is viewed as a realistic destination for the striker this summer, as they seek a proven number nine to lead their attack. Alonso’s arrival could be a key factor in convincing Osimhen to choose Chelsea, even without Champions League football.
