Paulo Dybala will remain at Roma for a further four seasons after agreeing to a contract extension with the Serie A club, the club confirmed on Friday. The new deal will see the Argentinian forward stay at the Stadio Olimpico until June 30th, 2027, with no option for further renewal included. The 30-year-old will earn slightly less than €3 million per year, plus bonuses, according to reports in Italy.
Dybala arrived in Rome in the summer of 2022 following his departure from Juventus, and has quickly established himself as a key player for the Giallorossi. He has made 139 appearances for the club, scoring 45 goals in all competitions. His impact extends beyond goals, with Roma recognising his leadership qualities both on and off the pitch.
The forward’s arrival at Roma was seen as a significant coup for manager José Mourinho, and he has become integral to their attacking play. Dybala has consistently delivered strong performances, contributing crucial goals and assists in Serie A and European competitions. He has battled with injuries during his time in the capital, but his talent has remained evident.
Roma celebrated the agreement with a post on their social media channels, stating “Paulo Dybala. The story continues.” The extension provides stability to Mourinho’s squad and secures one of their most influential players for the foreseeable future. This commitment from Dybala signals his dedication to the project at Roma and strengthens their ambition to compete at the highest level in Italian football.
Dybala began his professional career with Instituto in Argentina before moving to Palermo in 2012. He then joined Juventus in 2015, where he enjoyed a successful period, winning multiple Serie A titles and Coppa Italia trophies. His time in Turin ended after seven seasons, paving the way for his move to Roma. The extension solidifies Roma’s attacking options and offers continuity as they aim to build upon recent successes.
