Aston Villa are among a number of Premier League clubs monitoring Bayern Munich midfielder Arijon Ibrahimovic ahead of a potential summer transfer, according to TEAMtalk. Brighton, Brentford, Fulham and Crystal Palace have also carried out extensive scouting of the 20-year-old following his loan spell with Heidenheim.
Despite Heidenheim’s relegation from the Bundesliga, Ibrahimovic’s performances reportedly attracted significant praise in Germany, enhancing his reputation amongst English clubs. The attacking midfielder contributed two goals and four assists during the campaign, showcasing his versatility in various midfield and attacking roles.
Scouts were particularly impressed by Ibrahimovic’s technical quality, composure in possession, and tactical flexibility, with the player capable of operating centrally, in attacking midfield, and from wider areas. This adaptability makes him an attractive prospect for clubs seeking young, versatile attacking talent.
Brighton are understood to appreciate Ibrahimovic’s technical intelligence and long-term potential, while Brentford and Fulham are assessing the feasibility of a move should Bayern sanction a loan or permanent departure. Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are also closely following the situation.
Villa are looking to add creativity and depth to Unai Emery’s squad for another demanding season, while Palace’s recruitment strategy focuses on emerging European talent with resale value. Bayern Munich currently view Ibrahimovic as a player with a significant future, pleased with his development at Heidenheim and believing regular Bundesliga football has accelerated his progression.
Internally, Bayern see Ibrahimovic as a potential future member of their senior squad, however, the club haven’t ruled out another temporary move given the competition for places. No final decision has been made, and Bayern will assess him during pre-season before determining his next step. Interest from other European clubs exists, but the financial strength of the Premier League is making England an increasingly attractive destination should Bayern decide to move him on.
