Brighton & Hove Albion have registered their interest in TSG Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Touré, according to Sport Bild. The move comes after negotiations with 1. FC Köln for Said El Mala broke down earlier this month.
Brighton reportedly submitted a bid of around €35 million for El Mala, but Köln were holding firm with a €50 million valuation, ultimately ending the Premier League club’s pursuit. As a result, Brighton officials have begun exploring alternative options to strengthen their attacking options ahead of next season.
Touré emerged as a potential target earlier in May, with Brighton making an official enquiry to Hoffenheim regarding the 20-year-old’s availability. While Liverpool have also been linked with the Ivorian international, Hoffenheim may be more willing to negotiate a deal in the region of €40 million.
Touré joined Hoffenheim in February 2025 from Swedish side Hammarby IF for a reported €10 million. He has quickly established himself as a key player for the Sinsheim club, making 44 appearances across all competitions and contributing significantly to their attack with five goals and 15 assists. His performances have drawn attention from several clubs across Europe.
Brighton’s interest in Touré suggests they are looking for a dynamic winger capable of both scoring and creating chances. The club’s recruitment strategy often focuses on identifying young, promising talents with high potential, a profile that aligns with Touré’s current trajectory. Securing Touré would provide further competition and depth in Brighton’s forward line as they prepare for another season in the Premier League.
