Borussia Dortmund are monitoring Feyenoord Rotterdam winger Anis Hadj Moussa as a potential alternative to Karim Adeyemi, according to Sky Germany. The Bundesliga runners-up are considering options on the right wing amid uncertainty surrounding Adeyemi’s future contract situation.
Moussa, 24, enjoyed a productive 2023-24 campaign with Feyenoord, directly contributing to 21 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions. He is currently under contract with the Dutch club until 2030, having joined from AC Oujda in Morocco in January 2023. His performances for Feyenoord have also earned him a place in the Algeria national team, and he is expected to feature in the upcoming World Cup in North America.
The interest from Dortmund comes as contract negotiations with Adeyemi have reportedly stalled. The German international has been a key player for Dortmund since joining from RB Salzburg in 2022, but his long-term future at the club is now in doubt. Dortmund are therefore exploring potential replacements to avoid losing Adeyemi this summer.
Sky Germany reports that representatives of Moussa have proactively offered his services to Dortmund on multiple occasions. However, the report also clarifies that Dortmund have not yet made any concrete moves for the Algerian international, and other attacking targets are currently higher on their list of priorities. The club’s focus remains on securing a resolution with Adeyemi, but Hadj Moussa presents a viable alternative should those talks break down.
Should Dortmund pursue a deal for Moussa, they would be adding a player with proven goal contributions and experience in European competition. His arrival would likely provide competition for places in the attacking positions, potentially strengthening Dortmund’s squad depth ahead of another challenging Bundesliga season and Champions League campaign.
