Eintracht Frankfurt are actively pursuing Bayern Munich midfielder Noël Aséko, offering the 20-year-old a long-term contract until 2030 with an additional one-year extension option, according to Sky Sports Germany. While Frankfurt are keen to secure his signature, no agreement has yet been reached with Bayern Munich regarding a transfer.
Aséko spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Hannover 96 in the 2. Bundesliga, featuring in 31 matches and contributing with three goals and two assists. The Berlin native’s performances in the second tier have attracted attention, with Frankfurt identifying him as a key target for manager Markus Krösche’s squad.
However, Frankfurt are not alone in their interest, as AS Roma of the Italian Serie A also remain interested in acquiring Aséko. The player reportedly has multiple offers currently on the table, suggesting a competitive market for his services. Despite the external interest, Bayern Munich are reportedly divided on the prospect of a sale.
Eintracht Frankfurt have clarified that any potential deal for Aséko will be separate from their pursuit of Nathaniel Brown from Bayern Munich. Krösche and the Frankfurt board intend to negotiate the two transfers independently, avoiding a combined agreement. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, a prominent figure at Bayern, is believed to favour Aséko remaining with the Bavarian club.
Bayern Munich are open to both a permanent sale and another loan spell for Aséko, leaving the player’s future uncertain. The club will likely weigh their options based on financial considerations and their long-term plans for the young midfielder. Aséko’s development will be a key factor in any final decision made by the Bundesliga champions.
Should Aséko join Frankfurt, he would add depth and creativity to their midfield options, potentially becoming a key component of their Bundesliga campaign. His arrival could also signal Frankfurt’s intent to compete for European qualification in the coming seasons.
