Manchester United are monitoring Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, according to TEAMtalk, with the 22-year-old attracting interest from several Premier League clubs. Arsenal and Chelsea are also reportedly tracking the player following his impressive performances this season.
Scott has established himself as a key figure for Bournemouth, making 37 Premier League appearances and earning the club’s Player of the Month award for April. He was also included in Thomas Tuchel’s provisional England squad for the World Cup, though he ultimately did not make the final cut.
United are considering Scott as an alternative to Elliot Anderson, who is reportedly close to agreeing a move to Manchester City. Sources close to Old Trafford suggest the club view Scott as a long-term investment who could complement Kobbie Mainoo in midfield, fitting the profile sought by INEOS of young, technically gifted, and Premier League-proven players.
Chelsea are also actively pursuing Scott, with the Blues conducting background checks and considering him as a potential replacement for Enzo Fernandez, whose exit is becoming increasingly likely. Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have also shown interest, with Scott reportedly a boyhood Spurs fan.
Bournemouth are keen to retain Scott and are currently working on a new contract offer, valuing him at £60 million. The club’s negotiating position is strengthened by Scott’s previous indication that he would only consider a move to a Champions League club. His current contract with Bournemouth runs until 2028, meaning any potential deal would require a significant bid.
Scott’s development into a dynamic box-to-box midfielder has significantly increased his value, and his future remains uncertain as he weighs his options.
