Paris FC have completed the signing of 18-year-old midfielder Andria Kvirikadze from Dinamo Tbilisi, the club announced on Wednesday. The Georgian youth international has signed a contract with the Ligue 1 side that runs until 2029. Kvirikadze, who can also play as a winger, will be hoping to break into the first team under incoming manager Liam Rosenior.
Kvirikadze progressed through the academy at Dinamo Tbilisi, the same club that produced Paris Saint-Germain winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. He featured in the UEFA Youth League last season, making a 29-minute appearance against AEK Larnaca. While the financial details of the transfer were not disclosed, Paris FC are clearly investing in young talent with potential.
The move aligns with Paris FC’s stated strategy of developing a squad built around promising young players, according to the club’s official statement. They are looking to integrate players capable of contributing to the long-term sporting project. Rosenior, expected to be confirmed as the new manager on Thursday, will be tasked with evaluating Kvirikadze’s potential and deciding whether to give him opportunities in Ligue 1.
Paris FC finished 15th in Ligue 1 last season, narrowly avoiding relegation. They will be aiming for a more stable campaign this year, and the addition of Kvirikadze represents a long-term investment in the club’s future. The Georgian midfielder will face competition for places in a midfield already containing established players, but his versatility could prove valuable. This signing could provide a creative spark and further depth to the Paris FC squad as they prepare for the upcoming season.
Kvirikadze’s arrival adds another Georgian player to the French football landscape, following the success of Kvaratskhelia at PSG. While it is too early to predict whether Kvirikadze will reach the same heights, the move provides him with a platform to develop his skills in a competitive European league.
