Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy has received a potential lift after his agent dismissed reports of a pre-agreement with Fenerbahce. Karamba Guirassy, brother and representative of the Guinea international, told Sky Sports journalist Patrick Berger that “no agreement of any kind has been reached,” and that claims of a verbal deal are “simply not true.” He did state that the player is “evaluating his options” for next season, suggesting he is open to a move.
Spurs are aiming to overhaul their forward line this summer after a disappointing campaign that saw them narrowly avoid relegation, scoring just 48 Premier League goals. While Richarlison was the club’s top scorer with 12 goals in all competitions, manager Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly seeking a more prolific marksman, capable of consistently finding the net. The future of Richarlison and Dominic Solanke at the club are both currently uncertain.
Guirassy, 30, has been a standout performer in Germany, scoring 38 goals in his debut season with Dortmund and following that up with 22 across all competitions in the most recent campaign. In total, he has 60 goals and 15 assists in 96 matches for the Bundesliga side since joining from Stuttgart in 2024. Prior to his move to Dortmund, Guirassy had established himself as a consistent goalscorer, with 185 goals in 407 career games.
Tottenham had previously been linked with Guirassy before his transfer to Dortmund, and the denial of a deal with Fenerbahce has reopened the possibility of a move to North London. However, they face competition from several other European clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, AC Milan, and Atletico Madrid, all of whom are believed to be monitoring the situation. Securing Guirassy’s signature would significantly bolster Tottenham’s attacking options and address a key area of weakness within the squad.
