Noah Fenyö has completed a permanent transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt to Újpest FC, the Bundesliga club announced on Friday. The 20-year-old Hungarian U-21 international joins Újpest after a six-month loan spell with the Budapest-based side earlier this year. Financial details of the transfer were not disclosed by either club.
Fenyö initially joined Újpest on loan in January, quickly becoming a regular feature in their starting lineup for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. He made 15 appearances across all competitions for the club, registering one assist as Újpest finished seventh in the Hungarian Nemzeti Bajnokság I. The move provides Fenyö with the opportunity to secure regular first-team football, something that may have been limited at Frankfurt.
Prior to his loan move, Fenyö progressed through the youth ranks at Eintracht Frankfurt, representing the club’s youth teams in a total of 57 competitive matches. He also featured prominently for Frankfurt’s reserve team, making 40 appearances and gaining valuable experience in senior football. Eintracht Frankfurt have a history of developing young talent, and this transfer represents another academy graduate taking the step into professional football.
The transfer allows Újpest to secure a promising young player who is already familiar with the club and its environment. Fenyö’s versatility and work rate impressed the coaching staff during his loan spell, and they will be hoping he can continue to develop and contribute to the team’s success. This move is a positive step for both clubs, providing Fenyö with a platform to progress his career and allowing Eintracht Frankfurt to potentially benefit from any future resale value.
