Ferran Torres has given the green light to a move to Paris Saint-Germain during the current transfer window, according to Sky Italia. The Spain international is reportedly seeking to leave FC Barcelona despite being under contract with the Catalan club until 2027.
The potential move to PSG would see Torres reunite with former Spain manager Luis Enrique, who oversaw the attacker’s international career between 2020 and 2022. He would also link up with compatriot Fabián Ruiz, who currently plays for the Parisian side. The transfer is viewed as a potential replacement for Gonçalo Ramos, who recently joined AC Milan.
Torres has been a regular feature for Spain, showcasing his attacking prowess on the international stage, including at the recent World Cup. However, his time at Barcelona has been less consistent since joining from Manchester City in December 2021. He has made 37 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals.
PSG have been active in the transfer market, seeking to bolster their attacking options. The acquisition of Torres would provide Enrique with another versatile forward capable of playing in multiple positions. The move could also signal a shift in PSG’s transfer strategy, focusing on players with prior relationships with their new manager. The potential arrival of Torres will likely add further competition for places in an already star-studded PSG attack.
