Galatasaray are prepared to offer €40 million for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Can Uzun, according to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu. The 20-year-old has been linked with a return to his native Türkiye as several European clubs express interest in acquiring his services.
Uzun joined Eintracht Frankfurt from 1. FC Nürnberg two years ago for a reported €11 million fee, and a sale would represent a significant profit for the Bundesliga side. Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche is reportedly demanding €60 million for the Turkish international, whose current contract with the club is set to expire in three years.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s failure to qualify for European competition next season is believed to be a contributing factor to Uzun’s potential departure. The club’s absence from continental tournaments could make it more difficult to retain key players, particularly those with aspirations of playing at the highest level.
Alongside Galatasaray, a number of other prominent clubs are monitoring Uzun’s situation, including teams from the English Premier League, as well as Serie A giants SSC Napoli and AC Milan. The playmaker’s performances at the upcoming 2026 World Cup are anticipated to further increase his market value and attract even more attention from potential suitors.
Uzun has quickly established himself as a promising talent in German football since his move to Frankfurt. He has demonstrated an ability to both score and create goals, making him an attractive prospect for clubs seeking attacking reinforcements. Galatasaray, the reigning Turkish Süper Lig champions, are reportedly keen to add Uzun to their squad as they aim to maintain their domestic dominance and compete in Europe.
Should Uzun complete a move to Galatasaray, it would represent a significant investment for the Turkish club and a return to his homeland for the young forward. The transfer could also signal Galatasaray’s ambition to build a team capable of challenging for honours on both domestic and continental stages.
