FC Bayern Munich have officially unveiled Nathaniel Brown as their new signing, presenting the Germany international to the media on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old left-back joins the Bavarian club for a reported fee of €50 million, following Germany’s early exit from the World Cup in the Round of 32.
Brown expressed his excitement about the move, highlighting a personal connection to the club. “It’s special for me because I come from Bavaria. Everyone in Amberg is a Bayern fan. It’s mad that I’m now here,” he stated during the press conference.
He also noted his familiarity with several members of the Bayern squad, having played alongside them during the World Cup. Brown conveyed a positive impression of the team’s quality, both offensively and defensively, suggesting it represents a step up from his previous environment.
Last season, Brown established himself as a key player for Eintracht Frankfurt, featuring in all but one Bundesliga match. His consistent performances and versatility attracted the attention of Bayern, who were reportedly seeking to bolster their options at left-back.
