Arsenal are anticipating a ‘serious offer’ from Turkish side Besiktas for forward Leandro Trossard, according to reports from Sporx. The Turkish club are reportedly pushing for a deal to sign the Belgium international this summer and are expected to submit a formal bid to Arsenal in the coming days.
Arsenal recently completed a successful season, winning their first Premier League title in 22 years under Mikel Arteta. Despite falling short in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, losing 4-3 on penalties, the Gunners are already planning for the next campaign. Speculation suggests the club may look to reshape their forward line, potentially allowing Trossard to depart.
Trossard contributed 19 goals across all competitions for Arsenal this season, establishing himself as a regular starter. However, TEAMtalk reports that Arteta is satisfied with the player’s contributions and may prefer to sell Gabriel Martinelli instead. Trossard himself is believed to be content in North London.
Besiktas view Trossard as a priority target, seeking to add two wide attackers to their squad during the transfer window. They had previously attempted to sign the player last summer, but re-established contact with Arsenal as they believe he is not firmly in Arteta’s plans for the future.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are reportedly close to securing a deal for Leicester City’s Jeremy Monga. Transfer expert Ben Jacobs posted on X that a ‘full verbal agreement is close’ after the 16-year-old indicated a preference for a move to the Emirates Stadium over other clubs. Fabrizio Romano also confirmed Arsenal are “advancing” in their pursuit of the young winger, who played 30 times for Leicester in the Championship last season and is valued between £10m-£15m.
