Inter Milan are looking to generate funds for further summer acquisitions through player sales, according to reports from Italy. While backed by Oaktree’s investment, the Nerazzurri aim to supplement this with revenue from outgoings, identifying several players who could be moved on during the transfer window.
Davide Frattesi is among those potentially departing, with Nottingham Forest reportedly renewing their interest. Inter are seeking a fee of around €25-30 million for the midfielder, who has not yet established himself as a regular starter since joining the club. Young players Andy Diouf and Luis Henrique are also considered candidates for a sale, as opportunities for consistent first-team football may be limited. Both arrived last summer for significant fees – €20 million and €22 million respectively – and Inter would consider offers that guarantee them playing time.
Carlos Augusto’s situation is also being monitored, although his contract doesn’t expire until 2028 and renewal talks have stalled. Kristjan Asllani, who spent last season on loan at Besiktas, is another player whose future is uncertain. Besiktas have a €11 million option to buy, a deal that would represent a financial boost for Inter. Pisa are set to exercise their option to purchase Ebenezer Akinsanmiro for €7 million.
Inter have already invested in the squad, bringing in Manuel Akanji from Manchester City for €15 million and re-signing Aleksandar Stankovic from Bruges for an additional €13 million. They are also looking to offload Benjamin Pavard, who recently returned from a loan spell at Marseille. The club are hoping to receive between €10-12 million for the French defender, who is not considered part of their long-term plans. Inter are also anticipating €20 million from a clause in Denzel Dumfries’ contract with Real Madrid, and a further €4 million from Sebastiano Esposito’s permanent move to Cagliari, potentially rising to €8 million if Cagliari resell him for a profit. These sales, combined with others, will allow Inter to strengthen their squad further as they prepare for the upcoming season.
