Inter are planning to raise approximately €40-50 million through the sale of three players deemed surplus to requirements: Davide Frattesi, Kristjan Asllani, and Benjamin Pavard, according to reports from Italy. The club intends to use the funds generated from these sales to strengthen the squad during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Midfielder Davide Frattesi has seen his market value decrease significantly in the past season. While he previously contributed goals during Simone Inzaghi’s tenure, he has been largely a squad player under current coach Cristian Chivu, making 22 Serie A appearances totaling 522 minutes without scoring or providing an assist. Frattesi is reportedly open to a return to Roma, but the club’s financial situation currently prevents him from being used as part of a deal for other targets. Both Maurizio Sarri at Atalanta and Luciano Spalletti at Juventus are said to be admirers of the player, though his wage demands may be a barrier for Atalanta, and a starting role isn’t guaranteed at Juventus. Nottingham Forest, who previously showed interest in January, and other foreign clubs are also potential destinations.
Kristjan Asllani has been performing well on loan at Besiktas, with the Turkish club reportedly pleased with his contributions. A decision on whether Besiktas will exercise their option to buy the player for €11 million is expected in the coming weeks, with Inter potentially open to negotiating a lower fee. Pavard, currently on loan at Marseille, will not be joining the French club permanently. The defender is willing to compete for a place at Inter, but the club is leaning towards a definitive sale, with clubs in the Saudi Pro League emerging as potential suitors.
Carlos Augusto, however, remains in Inter’s plans. The Brazilian has been a valuable squad member, making 46 appearances and contributing with two goals and two assists. Discussions are underway between the club and his agent regarding a contract renewal, with a potential salary increase linked to tax benefits available under the Growth Decree. This suggests the club views Augusto as a key component of their future squad.
These potential departures signal Inter’s intent to reshape their squad for the next season, balancing financial considerations with on-field performance.
