James Rodríguez will leave Minnesota United after just six months with the club, the MLS side announced on their social media channels. The Colombian midfielder’s contract, which included an option to extend until December, will not be activated by the club.
Rodríguez arrived in Minnesota in February, joining after a spell with Rayo Vallecano in Spain. He made eight appearances for the team in Minneapolis, but his time with the club has been cut short. Minnesota United simply thanked him for his contributions in their announcement.

This will be his 14th club since the beginning of his professional career, suggesting another move is imminent.
Rodríguez’s career has seen him play at the highest levels, including a successful spell with Real Madrid, where he won two Champions League titles.
