Juventus will exercise their option to permanently sign Jeremie Boga from Nice for a fee of approximately five million euros, according to reports in Italy. The 27-year-old winger joined the Turin club on loan in January and has quickly become a key player under manager Luciano Spalletti.
Boga arrived at Juventus with some uncertainty surrounding his form, having experienced a difficult period at Nice. However, he swiftly integrated into the team, initially as a backup to Kenan Yildiz, and later proving effective as a central striker. Boga’s impact has been immediate, contributing four goals and one assist in 15 Serie A appearances, including decisive goals against Udinese and Atalanta, as well as a strike in the comeback victory over Roma.
The Ivory Coast international spoke positively about his time at Juventus, stating in an interview with Ivorian broadcaster NCI Sport that joining the club was an easy decision. He emphasized the historical significance and quality of the club, as well as the confidence shown in him by Spalletti and the entire squad. Boga credited Spalletti’s belief in his abilities, recalling a conversation where the manager challenged him to score more than ten goals per season.
Boga has expressed his desire to continue improving and becoming more decisive for Juventus, aiming to consistently impact matches. He also highlighted his admiration for attacking players who rely on instinct, citing Ousmane Dembélé, Rayane Cherki, and Amad Diallo as examples. Boga’s immediate future goals include maintaining his health, enjoying his football, and returning to both the Champions League and the Ivory Coast national team. This permanent move solidifies Juventus’ attacking options and provides continuity for Spalletti’s squad as they look to build on their recent form.
