Juventus are considering a move for Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison, according to reports in Italy. The Brazilian international is entering the final year of his contract with Tottenham and could be available this summer.
Juventus’ new sporting directors, Giovanni Carnevali and Antonio Massara, are exploring several options to strengthen the attack, with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani remaining a primary target. However, Richarlison presents an interesting opportunity, particularly given his familiarity with the Juventus training facilities from a Brazil national team camp in 2021. The club hosted the Brazilian squad ahead of the 2021 Copa America, allowing Richarlison to experience the environment.
Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly open to allowing Richarlison to leave, viewing him as a potentially ‘sacrificable’ player in reshaping the squad. Carnevali, who previously worked with De Zerbi, could be a key advocate for the transfer, leveraging their existing relationship. Richarlison has also attracted interest from Turkish clubs, notably Fenerbahce, with substantial offers reportedly made.
Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti is known to favour players with Richarlison’s characteristics, potentially easing his integration into the team. The Bianconeri are currently progressing talks for Celik, demonstrating a willingness to pursue opportunities that arise alongside their primary targets. The club will assess the outcome of negotiations for Kolo Muani before deciding whether to pursue Richarlison as a first or second-choice attacking reinforcement, with Parma’s Dennis Pellegrino also under consideration as a potential alternative.
The possibility of Richarlison joining Juventus hinges on the progress of other transfer dealings. If Kolo Muani proves unattainable, the club may turn to Richarlison as a more readily available option to bolster their attacking options.
