Juventus are considering a loan move for young forward Clifford Ekhator, according to reports in Italy. The club views a temporary spell away as a potential pathway for the 2006-born player to gain more consistent playing time and accelerate his development.
Ekhator arrived at Juventus this summer as the club’s first signing of the window, with the transfer being championed by Juventus’ scouting staff who had closely monitored his progress at Genoa. The Bianconeri believe Ekhator has the potential to become a future leading striker for both club and country, outlining a three-stage plan to nurture his talent: integration into a major club, progression as a Serie A goalscorer, and ultimately earning a starting role with the Italian national team.
However, Juventus are aware of the challenges of immediately thrusting a player of Ekhator’s age into a high-pressure environment. The club is therefore exploring loan options that would allow him to feature more regularly. Parma has emerged as a potential destination, having previously provided a successful platform for young attackers such as Bonny and potentially Pellegrino.
The possibility of a loan swap involving Ekhator and Juventus target Filippo Pellegrino has been suggested as a way to facilitate the deal. Juventus are reportedly interested in Pellegrino, and a loan exchange could represent a financially manageable solution for both clubs. Sassuolo also previously enquired about Ekhator during negotiations for Kristian Muharemovic, indicating further interest from Serie A sides.
